The coveted AutHer Awards are a collaboration between the Times of India and J K Paper. They celebrate the contributions of women authors. Shalini’s book Stars from the Borderless Sea was longlisted for the award in 2023 in the Debut Category.
12th Laadli Media & Advertising Awards for Gender Sensitivity
The Laadli Media and Advertising Awards for Gender Sensitivity are an initiative of Population First, and are supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The ceremony of 12th edition of the awards was held at Hyderabad in November 2022, where Shalini was awarded a Jury Appreciation citation for her article on Indian Women’s Mental Health Scenario.
Orange Flower Awards
The Orange Flower Awards by Women’s Web celebrate India’s leading voices in the digital space. These awards see many nominations in different categories and are the aspiration of many content creators. Shalini has received the awards for two successive years-for writing on LGBTQ issues in 2021, and for short fiction in 2022.
